July 12th, 2021
Little Greene

As the paint sponsor of The Whitworth Art Gallery, we are delighted to share one of their most recent projects, a 12m x 4m mural. This bold, bright piece was created by Caroline Dowsett, a freelance artist and maker from Manchester.

When asked about the experience, Caroline said “I really loved creating the mural with the Little Greene paints, they apply so beautifully, and the colours really pop/complement one another. The inspiration for the piece was the Art Garden at the Whitworth, and the colours Little Greene have available really let the garden live through the piece.”

The mural took 8 days to complete, and 16 colours used to create the piece. These included, Acorn, Apple, Baked Cherry, Boxington, Carmine, Angie, Carys, Woodbine, Drummond, Garden, Heat, Juniper Ash, Theatre Red, Tivoli, Pea Green and Olive Oil.
