Handel Hendrix House, the musical historic house museum in Mayfair have used a selection of Little Greene shades throughout the property. This Christmas, the unique museum is open to the public to experience historical Christmas traditions and decorations inspired by the building’s musical past.
The Georgian shade Mid Lead Colour; creates an impactful backdrop to present gilded frames and an interactive audio-visual display.
‘It was here; in the music room, that Handel wrote and rehearsed his greatest works, including Messiah and its ever popular ‘Hallelujah chorus’ perhaps the most famous piece of classical music ever written.’
Little Greene’s Cream Colour sits comfortably within the stairways. This shades inherent warmth paired with the timeless festive decorations create an inviting atmosphere typically seen in the 18th & 19th centuries.
The Hendrix Green room, situated in 23 Brook Street, where Jimi Hendrix lived and famously entertained many 1960’s icons, has been painted in the rich deep green, Goblin, to create a bold and moody atmosphere that evokes Hendrix’s musical era.
