First opened in 2001, Handel Hendrix House is a museum based in the prestigious Brook Street in Mayfair, where composer George Frideric Handel and rock musician Jimi Hendrix both lived. It reopened to the public in May this year, and unveiled ambitious restoration works including new exhibitions.

In the historic rooms that represent Handel’s residency in 25 Brook Street, timeless greys like Inox and the Georgian Mid Lead Colour provide an authentic backdrop. In contrast, the bold blue, Woad, has been colour drenched in the ‘Handel’s Music’ exhibition space, bringing a sense of opulence and vibrancy to reflect the musical creativity of Handel.

The project has also made it possible for visitors to enter the museum through Handel’s historic front door, which it is believed was originally painted in the Little Greene shade, Chocolate Colour.
The museum includes entry to 23 Brook Street, the flat where Jimi Hendrix lived, which has been restored as an iconic 1960s pad. The Hendrix Green Room has been painted in the rich deep green, Goblin, to create a bold and moody atmosphere that evokes Hendrix’s musical era.
