Look Again Supergraphics Festival takes place in Newhaven during the month of June. Ten artists from the Sussex area are enlisted to create a selection of distinctive murals that enliven the coastal town, alongside a number of events and festivities.
This year, internationally renowned graphic artist, Anthony Burrill, designed a new mural in his signature modern typography style. Featuring the words ‘Sun&Sea&You&Me’, his design exudes positivity and optimism, while the bold print offers real impact.
Many Hands is a specialist design studio that creates murals and installations in a variety of settings, from street art to contemporary galleries such as the Barbican. For this project, they utilised Little Greene’s Intelligent Masonry Paint – a quick-drying, water-based paint that is easy-to-apply, with long-lasting durability on external brickwork, stone and render.
They contrasted the stark Loft White and Jack Black colour pairing with splashes of the punchy yellow, Trumpet, to bring seasonal vibrancy. This confident colour palette makes a strong statement alongside the surrounding brickwork on St. Luke’s Lane.
Many Hands have previously used Little Greene in a number of other projects, including exhibitions like Soheila Sokhanvari’s ‘Rebel Rebel’ at The Curve, Barbican Centre and at Heong Gallery, Downing College, Cambridge.
