Little Greene

Little Greene colours create a light and inviting kitchen space at Le Fleur – a château and guest house in Normandy, France. An alluring combination of soft neutrals and rich accent shades instil a sense of calm in the heart of the home.

Le Fleur is an elegant château located in Honfleur in the Calvados region of France. Having been converted into a luxurious guest house, Le Fleur is undergoing a large renovation project.

This sophisticated kitchen space is the latest room to have been transformed using Little Greene. Anna Bewley, owner of Le Fleur, chose shades from our Stone palette to provide an understated, natural atmosphere. She says: “We wanted our chateau kitchen to feel light and welcoming, traditional yet timeless. Our kitchen has high ceilings and a lot of natural light but is north facing, so we chose a warm, neutral palette of different Clay tones to give more depth. I love how the colour transforms throughout the day, especially, in the evening when the kitchen has a lovely warm and cosy glow.”

Our moody grey-green, Pompeian Ash, is introduced to ground the scheme and add a touch of character. Anna says: “We used Pompeian Ash on the island to add a contrast, as we wanted it to have the feel of a period piece of furniture completely separate from all the cabinetry. It also happened to pick up the green veins running through our quartzite work top perfectly.”

From the statement drop lights to the beautiful mosaic tiles on the backsplash, Anna incorporated dark accessories to create a cohesive, harmonious space. Our versatile off-white, Slaked Lime, adorns the ceiling.
